Janette Miranda, MSW, Clinical Supervisor
Janette Miranda is a social worker with experience in community mental health, trauma-informed practice, workforce development, and culturally and linguistically responsive service delivery.
Ms. Miranda contributes to curriculum development in mental health foundations, ethical practice, family engagement, and systems navigation. She leads the preparation and adaptation of Spanish-language training materials to ensure linguistic accessibility, cultural relevance, and equitable participation for bilingual providers and the communities they serve.
Janette has received advanced training in the Multi-Element Behavior Support (MEBS) model, including participation in a masterclass on the work of Israel Goldiamond led by Gary LaVigna, PhD, BCBA-D, co-founder of the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis. She has served under the leadership of Lori Ann Dotson, PhD, Chief Knowledge & Learning Officer of the IABA Research & Education Foundation, for nearly a decade. Her work reflects MEBS’ constructional, non-aversive, and ecological framework, integrating skills teaching and function-based support within culturally responsive and trauma-informed systems of care.
She also incorporates relationship-based approaches such as the Brazelton Touchpoints framework and supports implementation of evidence-informed social skills programming, including PEERS, promoting social competence and meaningful connection for adolescents and young adults.
Janette’s practice is grounded in cultural humility, interdisciplinary collaboration, and systems-level reform. She is committed to expanding access to high-quality behavioral health education and services through inclusive training design and values-driven practice.
