Global Trainings

The IABA Research and Education Foundation is led by researchers, practitioners, and lived experience experts, using over 40 years of education, research and applied positive behavioral practices at the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis (IABA), to help solve the most current and pressing concerns of our trainees and partners around the globe.

Building on the transformational work of Dr. Gary LaVigna and Dr. Thomas Willis in positive behavior practices, the Multi-Element Behavior Support (MEBS) trainings are designed to inspire and motivate. Their early adoption of forward-thinking approaches to neuroaffirming, compassionate, and comprehensive support forms the foundation of MEBS. These trainings will transform your professional practice.

Presenter Profiles

  • Thank you for the child and adult examples of the different DRO/DRA/DRL schedules - this helped with understanding its applications!

    Jennifer L.

  • Enjoyed and learned from the breakout session (activities) and case study (videos). This really allows me to view "behaviors" from differing perspectives and angles, and process what may be going on with the client.

    Ben W.

  • Great coverage of CFA and Antecedent analysis. I learned about these topics is greater depth, which was really helpful and will be really useful.

    Lauren B.

  • I really like the Strategies for Mediating Emotions section. Managing staff stress is a big part of the job.

    Henry R.

  • Really enjoying thinking more about the meaning behind the function. It's something I think we already try to do but this session really solidified the linear vs non linear approach to ABA.

    Bianca L.

  • Behavioral practice as guided by values of dignity and positive programming really resonated.

    Rachel F.

  • Good training ,learnt new effective behaviour Analysis principles the most interesting part of the training for me was avoidance of stigma when giving titles to behaviours.

    Sarah B.

  • I like how the course facilitator presented the information in language that can be universal understood.
