Longitudinal Assessment & Analysis of Severe and Challenging Behavior
Grounded in more than four decades of evidence-based, person-centred practice from IABA’s founders, Dr. Gary LaVigna and Dr. Tom Willis, this advanced, competency-based training practicum is for behavioral and other qualified professionals who assess individuals with complex and challenging needs and design Multi-element Behavior Support (MEBS) plans that meet defined standards.
This training combines in-depth lecture content delivered on-demand, virtually or live with hands-on practicum work, equipping participants to conduct functional assessments, create effective MEBS plans, and ensure their consistent implementation.
This longitudinal training is offered virtually throughout the year at times that accommodate our global participants, and in-person once a year through a two-week, intensive, and interactive seminar-style event called the Summer Institute, which will take place in Sherman Oaks, California in early 2026. Site-based group training available upon request.
