Sequoia Conservatory Learning Community
The Sequoia Conservatory Learning Community aims to address the significant educational challenges faced by neurodiverse students, particularly those with autism, by providing a tailored, neurodiversity-affirming educational environment. Recognizing that mainstream schools often fail to meet the unique needs of these students—leading to disengagement, underachievement, and high dropout rates—Sequoia combines the evidence-based Multi-Element Behavior Support (MEBS) ™ with a specialized curriculum designed to harness the strengths of neurodiverse learners. This innovative approach not only improves educational outcomes for neurodiverse students but also cultivates their potential to make transformative contributions to society. Sequoia serves as a model for integrating neurodiversity-affirming practices into mainstream education, promoting inclusivity and innovation.
